Aromatherapy ~ using the lifeforce of flowers, plants, herbs & spices to bring the body & mind to a state of balance & harmony... |
Aromatherapy massage - a treatment that utilises the energetic and medicinal properties of essential oils to balance the body, mind and spirit, applied through therapeutic massage following oriental diagnosis using pure essential oils blended on-site. Benefits:
Remedial massage | Swedish massage - A technique developed by a Swedish doctor. It shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load, stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable, stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves. It reduces emotional and physical stress and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. Swedish massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating as it affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and well being.
Deep tissue massage - a treatment that manipulates the deeper layers of muscle tissue by applying deep pressure and friction massage techniques. Benefits:
Holistic Pain Management - Is a way of enabling yourself to release your bodies own natural pain killers and to assist you in regaining control of your body and life. This is mainly used when you are suffering from Chronic pain which serves no particular purpose.
Therapeutic Massage - A treatment that is a manual manipulation of the bodies soft tissues for the purpose of stimulating and improving circulation.
A full treatment can be 30, 60 or 90 minutes and is always tailored to the particular needs of the client taking into consideration the whole person - body, mind & spirit.

All my treatments are specific to the individual needs of my clients, whether they are looking for relief from physical and emotional trauma to athletes looking to improve their performance and people who just want to have a relaxing hour in comfortable surroundings.
My aim is to work with my clients to help them rediscover their inner balance, harmony and sense of well being in life.
Peter Wright ~ Therapeutic / Pregnancy, Deep Tissue & Indian Head Massage / Holistic Pain Management
I grew up in Brentwood in Essex and being the active type I’ve always had an interest in health and fitness, however it wasn’t until 2003 that I found the path I believe I was intended to walk down. I found I was drawn into the whole Holistic side of life and all types of alternative therapies. I went and qualified as a Massage therapist and then took on Indian Head Massage and Holistic Pain Management, I’m a firm believer in that we can control pain and that there is no need for pain to control us or our lives.
In 2003 I found Yoga and began to practice Ashtanga on a regular basis; the benefits of yoga were soon apparent with a whole change in my lifestyle, I stopped worrying over everything that happened and was able to deal with everything a lot calmer. Whilst doing some home practice my son would do it alongside me, this got me thinking, if I can benefit from this then so can he, so I went looking.
In 2006 I qualified as a Yogabugs instructor and have been teaching children yoga in a fun way since, 2007 I became a Yogad’up instructor and I now teach in schools and nurseries in the area. I believe yoga is for everyone out there and you don’t have to be on a spiritual journey to embrace the benefits, I aim to pass on these benefits to the children of today so they can just be themselves and happy with who they are, they have to much pressure thrown upon them at such a young age, they need to remember that they are still children. My classes are fun and challenging and we always make sure they learn to switch off at the end and learn to relax.
I started 'One' in 2004 with one of the main objectives to make a difference, over the years I hope I have, and this is still one of the fundamental reasons behind it all.
